Structured woven interfacing

A firm, dimensionally stable woven fusible from Japan, suited to components that need to maintain their shape through wear and repeated laundering.

Structured woven interfacing
$11.98

A firm, dimensionally stable woven fusible from Japan, suited to components that need to maintain their shape through wear and repeated laundering.

This interfacing uses a finer adhesive dot pattern than standard interlinings which prevents seepage on fine or lightweight textiles. It works across a wide range of fabrics, from fine shirting through to medium-weight coating, and across both natural and synthetic fibres, making it the most versatile of our three interfacings for structured applications.

Fused correctly, it delivers a crisp, flat result that keeps folded edges sharp and flat, collars stay precise and cuffs hold their line.

Best use: Tailored shirt collars, collar stands and cuffs. Lightweight blazer and jacket facings. Structured bodices. Any component where a crisp, lasting edge is required.

Material: Polyester and cotton.

Fusing conditions: 130–150°C, 10–15 seconds, moderate pressure. Test on a scrap before committing.

Sold in 0.5m increments. Multiple quantities will be sent as one continuous length.

Organ sewing machine needles
from $8.95

Sourced from Japan, these needles are the industrial standard for precision garment construction. Engineered with high-tenacity steel and a heat-resistant finish, they are designed to maintain structural integrity through demanding projects. Unlike standard household needles that can dull or deflect, these provide the surgical accuracy required for high-end tailoring.

We stock a curated range of technical points to ensure your machine is perfectly calibrated to your textile:

Fine (Size 70/10): Designed for delicate fabrics such as silk, organza, and fine cotton lawn. The slim profile prevents needle-hole damage in high-thread-count textiles.

Universal (Size 75/11): The refined choice for light-to-midweight shirting and blouses. It offers a cleaner finish than a standard 12 on high-quality Japanese poplins and linens.

Universal (Size 90/14): The architectural workhorse. Ideal for mid-to-heavy wovens, including wool tailoring and structured linens. Necessary for navigating interfaced waistbands.

Denim (Size 100/16): Features a reinforced blade and an acute "sharp" point designed to pierce through dense, heavy-duty weaves and multiple layers of denim without deflection.

Knit (Size 11 Ball Point): Specifically engineered for mid-weight jersey and knitwear. The slightly rounded ball point is designed to push fabric loops aside rather than piercing them, eliminating skipped stitches and preventing fabric runs.

Material: High-carbon chrome-plated steel (Domestic Flat Shank / 130/705H).

Note: We recommend changing your needle every 8 hours of sewing time to ensure your machine’s timing and your fabric’s integrity are never compromised.
